Neuropsychological Assessment
A neuropsychologist measures attention, memory, processing speed, and executive function with a full test battery that includes effort testing, then maps the scores to work demands. Counsel and insurers order one after brain injury, or when cognitive complaints need objective measurement.

What is effort testing?
Built-in measures that check whether the scores reflect full engagement. They protect both sides: valid scores carry weight, and invalid ones are flagged instead of silently used.
What should an examinee expect?
An interview followed by a long series of structured tasks with breaks. It is tiring by design, so rest the night before and bring glasses, hearing aids, and the medication list.
What can it not answer?
It cannot image the brain or diagnose neurological disease the way a neurologist does. It measures what cognition does, not what the scan shows.
