## How to use it

1. **Set the claim type.** Accident benefits, long-term disability, workers' compensation, med-legal, or employer fitness.
2. **Set the province and the party.** The required items change for a board, a law firm, an insurer, or an employer.
3. **Tick what you already hold.** The bar shows how much of the required list is done.
4. **Copy or download the list.** Send the markdown back to the referrer with the empty boxes still empty.

## The file that is not ready still lands on your desk

A referral without numbered questions does not get booked. It sits. You write back. You wait. You write back again. Each missing piece is a week the examinee is not seen. The packet has to say who is being examined. It has to say what the examiner must answer. It has to say what the examiner will read. If a required box is empty, the date should stay empty too.

## The list changes with the claim, not with the mood of the day

Accident-benefits files need work status and the forms the insurer already uses. Long-term disability needs the policy definition and a real job description. A board file needs accepted conditions. Counsel needs a privilege instruction and a productions index. Quebec needs the language of service confirmed in writing. Treating every referral as the same stack of PDFs is how a fitness-for-work exam gets booked with no job demands.

## Required means you cannot invent it later

Recommended items can follow. Required items cannot. An examiner who meets the person without the last imaging report will write around the hole, or will refuse to close the opinion. Either way you pay for a second round. Tick the required list first. Send the gaps to the referrer in the same words you will use on the invoice when the slot is wasted.

### Why do the items change?
