## Four parts, quoted on the referral

The figure follows the file. An orthopaedic examination with a thin chart costs less to run than a psychiatric assessment with years of records, so each quote is built from the parts below. Interpreter, transport, chaperone, and rush handling appear as line items only when the file needs them.

### Examiner fee

The examiner's charge for the examination and the medical-legal opinion.

### Coordination

Matching the examiner to the referral question, booking the appointment, and keeping the file moving.

### Records handling

Collecting the chart, sorting it, indexing it, and sending the examiner a file that reads in order.

### Report

Reviewing the report for completeness and delivering it securely with an invoice.

## How quoting works for your file

Insurer, legal, employer, and individual files are quoted differently because different rules apply to each.

### Insurer and WCB files

Quoted under the payer fee schedule where one exists, such as the WorkSafeBC fee schedule or ICBC. Where no schedule applies, the file is quoted per assessment.

### Legal files

Quoted per assessment. The figure reflects the specialty, the referral questions, and the volume of records the examiner must review.

### Employer files

Quoted per assessment. A Physical Demands Analysis or Job Site Assessment is quoted on the scope of the site visit.

### Individuals

Fixed prices are already published on the consumer pages, where the price appears before booking.

## What the fee always covers

Quoted once, with no additions unless the referral changes.

- Examiner match for the referral question
- Scheduling with the examinee
- Records collection and indexing
- Report review before release
- Secure delivery of the report
- Invoicing
- Portal access for the referrer and the examinee
- Canadian data residency

## Questions about assessment fees

### Why do you publish no rates?

The examiner, the specialty, and the record volume differ on every file, so a list would mislead. Each assessment is quoted on the referral from the four parts above, and the figure is confirmed before anything is booked.

### What does an insurer or WCB file follow?

The payer fee schedule where one exists, such as the WorkSafeBC fee schedule or ICBC. Files outside a schedule are quoted per assessment.

### I am booking for myself. Where are the prices?

On the consumer pages. The price appears before you book, and intake confirms it again before the appointment.

### What happens if the appointment is cancelled?

A cancellation and no-show policy exists for every booking. It is stated in the referral acknowledgement, so the terms are confirmed before the appointment.
