## A Vancouver team that runs assessments end to end

IMECore delivers Independent Medical Examinations (IME), Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE), Medical File Reviews, and related assessments to insurers, law firms, employers, and public bodies in Canada.

Examiners work from their own practices. IMECore coordinates the file around them: the referral, the records, the booking, the report review, and the invoice. A named coordinator owns every file, and a person approves every step that reaches an examinee or a referrer.

## Six steps, each with a named approver

1. **Referral.** The referrer sends the file and the questions. A coordinator accepts the referral and confirms each question can be answered.
2. **Match.** The coordinator matches the questions to a specialty, checks the examiner licence, screens for conflict of interest, and confirms availability. The coordinator approves the match before anything is booked.
3. **Records.** Records arrive on the case. The coordinator indexes them and builds the examiner brief from the sources that matter. The coordinator approves the brief before it goes to the examiner.
4. **Exam.** The examiner sees the examinee at their own practice, or by video where the assessment allows it, and records the findings. The examiner signs the attendance note.
5. **Report review.** A reviewer checks that every referral question is answered and every conclusion cites a record. The reviewer releases the report only when both gates pass.
6. **Invoice.** Finance invoices the coordination work and passes the examiner fee through at cost. The coordinator closes the file.

## Verified before the first booking

An examiner receives a file only after four checks pass. They are rechecked to stay on the roster.

- Licence check. Registration with the provincial college is confirmed and kept current.
- Specialty. The examiner scope must cover the referral questions on the file.
- Conflict of interest. Prior relationships with the examinee, the referrer, or the employer are screened on every file.
- Availability. The booking fits real clinic time, including time to write the report.

## Every report passes review before release

Review is a gate in the workflow, not a courtesy. A report that fails a gate goes back to the examiner with notes.

- Required questions answered. The reviewer checks each referral question against the report. An unanswered question sends the report back.
- Records cited. Each conclusion points to a source in the file. Missing records are named as missing.
- Audit log. Every access to personal health information is logged with the user, the case, and the time, and can be audited.
- Canadian data residency. AI that touches health information runs only in Canada and is verified on every request. Case storage carries a best-effort Canada-region hint.

## Examinations across Canada, coordinated from Vancouver
